In collaboration with the Evangelische Akademie Tutzing, FILMFEST MÜNCHEN—three years after a conference on a similar topic—now invites attendees to reflect on the current status quo, positive developments, and setbacks, particularly in times when financial leeway is shrinking. For some time now, cultural institutions have no longer been viewed primarily as producers of content for reflection, imagination, and entertainment, but are instead specifically called upon to play their part in social transformation. This conference will explore questions surrounding these approaches, discuss ideas and proposals, and potentially develop initial viable steps.
